The St. Clair Police Dept. needs the public assistance in locating an arson suspect. At approximately 2 am on Tuesday, October 1st, a suspect broke into the St. Mary’s Catholic Church located at 415 N 6th St. The suspect set fire to the main altar and a holy table. The suspect is described as a white male, slender build, wearing glasses, dark clothing including a poncho, carrying a skateboard and a backpack. The suspect has white shoes with black trim around the sole. He entered the area of the church from N 9th St around 2 am and left the scene around 245 am running towards N 9th St. If anyone has home surveillance video or had possibly witnessed the suspect in the area please contact SCPD at 810-329-5710.

On Monday, two men entered the Chase bank in Marlette and produced a firearm and demanded money. The first suspect is described as a white male, mid to early 20’s 5’6” and approximately 120lbs The second suspect is described as a white male, mid to early 20’s, 6 feet, and approximately 170 lbs. The two left the bank and were picked up by a waiting, possibly 2013 white Cadillac with minor front end damage to the passenger side.
