Meet the Team
Karly is the Station Manager for ebw tv. In her role, she oversees strategic planning, advertising and client relations, the summer internship program, production of several shows as well as reporting on local events. Karly began her career at ebw as an intern when the company started in 2013. She left her position as news director in 2015 to finish her bachelors degree in Chicago at Moody Bible Institute. Upon completion of a Bachelors in Communications, Karly returned to the Blue Water area and ebw in May. She currently lives in Port Huron with her husband and serves on the Board of Directors for A Beautiful Me, as well as the planning committee for Power 88.3’s BLOOM with A Beautiful Me event. She is passionate about promoting the Blue Water area, empowering young women to be strong leaders and teaching students with interest in the news broadcasting field.
In her role as News Director, Mallory’s job is to be in the field and reporting on people who have a story to tell, new places and events that are happening in the area. One of her favorite features she is the Tasteful Thursday segments. “I love to show off all the different restaurants and eateries in our area. It’s even better when I get to taste the delicious creations because ‘mmm..that’s tasty!’. She also writes news stories and manages the social media sites for ebw.tv. Mallory grew up in Port Huron and then moved to the Twin Cities area when she was 12 years old. She spent most of her summers in Port Huron and realized she wanted to move back to her stomping grounds where her family is. After Mallory earned a bachelor’s in Communications-Advertising and minored in Sports Business from the University of North Dakota she moved back to Michigan. In October 2016, she accepted a position at ebw.tv. Since then she has been spreading the positive feel good news throughout the Blue Water Area. Not only can Mallory be seen on buses and throughout the community for ebw she also is one of the Board Directors for the Blue Water Young Professionals. Some of her favorite things to do in the area is spend time with family at their summer cottage in Lexington, play with family pets and learning to race sailboats.
The newest member of the ebw.tv team, Audrey champions positive local news through the written word. Her work can be found accompanying ebw videos as well as highlighted in a monthly feature. She earned her degrees in journalism from Grand Valley State University and St. Clair County Community College. Audrey also serves as an active member of the Blue Water Young Professionals, and publishes the group’s quarterly newsletter and other media. Her passion for community involvement carries over into her day job. She works as the Young Adults Program Coordinator for the Community Foundation of St. Clair
County.In her free time, Audrey likes to read, garden, spend time with her dog and binge watch shows on Netflix while she takes sabbaticals from the gym. She also suffers from a severe case of wanderlust and travels to places near and far as often as she can.
Video Editor, Production Assistant
Justin’s role as Editor and Production Assistant is to put the finishing touches on Spotlight shows that make them superb and ready to be viewed by you! He also contributes his time in the studio writing and producing daily news segments. In the field, Justin has experience operating camera for news features and live events. He has been a member of ebw.tv since
its creation, lending his skills to a variety of content. In addition to his time spent at ebw, you can find Justin operating cameras for McLaren Port Huron’s Today’s Health Program, and the live stream of the Port Huron Schools football games. Justin has lived in St. Clair County since he was two weeks old; when his family moved back to the area. He studied broadcasting at St. Clair County Community College before attending M.P.I. (Motion Picture Institute of Michigan), to pursue his dream of becoming a filmmaker. Justin has since worked on Hollywood productions such as Batman vs. Superman, Transformers 4 and 5; along with independent films and promotional videos; including his own projects. Justin has received multiple awards for his talents over the years. In his spare time, he enjoys walking his dog Max, watching all genres of movies, and writing short stories and screenplays for future film projects.
