On Friday, August 10th it marks the fourth annual Victory Day event, coordinated by Port Huron Schools counselor Tracey Hopp and Port Huron High School football coach Ryan Mullins. Victory Day is a night of education, inspiration, and fun on the football field for children of special needs. Any child ages 5 to 26 may participate for free. Each child is partnered with a Port Huron High School football player or cheerleader who serves as their mentor throughout the event. Each player and mentor are announced on the PA system as they make their way down the field to score a touchdown. This year, Power 88.3 will be broadcasting live from the event with play-by-play and commentary. Victory Day will start at 6 pm at Memorial Stadium in Port Huron.
