While many enjoyed the weekend with lots to do around the Blue Water Area, we can’t end the show without taking a minute to talk about the tragedy that took place in St. Clair this weekend. The St. Clair County Dive team along with the Sherrif’s Office and other local agencies have been searching for 21 year old St. Clair High School graduate Riley Gleason since Friday night when he was last seen in the St. Clair River. While many details still remain unclear, the rescue efforts have been deemed recovery efforts as they search for his body. Being a St. Clair High School graduate myself, this really hits home. In moments of tragedy, there is beauty, though. Sunday morning, hundreds of area residents gathered at the St. Clair boardwalk to pray for the family and show their support which we send to the Gleason family and friends this morning.
