At approximately 3:00 p.m., Jeffrey Bohm, Chairperson of the Board of Commissioners, declared a local State of Emergency due to widespread or severe damage to property caused by flooding in the Southeastern portion of St. Clair County. The potential of further severe flooding exists based on increased water. Homeland Security and Emergency Management continues to work with local municipalities to assist with monitoring and response to the situation.

If your home is impacted by flood damage, it is important that you contact the Emergency Operation Center at (810) 989-6392 or via e-mail at
damage@stclaircounty.org. Please include your address, phone number, foundation type, amount of water in your home, and damage pictures in the email.

For life-threatening emergencies, please call 9-1-1. Please note the St. Clair County Warning Information Notification System (WINS) will be used to contact you in an emergency situation. If you have caller ID, you may not recognize the number, however, please answer to receive the information.
