The Rotary Club of Port Huron has a century of experience in helping the community get through tough times and a global pandemic won’t stop them from celebrating 100 years of philanthropy. They have rescheduled their 100th year anniversary celebration from May 1 to October 16. It will be held in the Abbey Room at the Doubletree Inn. Keely Baribeau, President of the Rotary Club of Port Huron, told us about their perspective on rescheduling and persevering. She said, “Port Huron Rotary only turns 100 once and it’s not in 2021.” Baribeau said they continue to be excited about their centennial being a community celebration. The Rotary has a list of over 100 local organizations that they have donated to in the past. At the rescheduled event, they plan to give ten $1000 grants to charities randomly chosen from their list of worthy causes.
