PTM Corporation, a metal products supplier
headquartered in Fair Haven, is using the mandated
shutdown time to reach out to its neighbors in Ira
Township. The company has set up a service called
“Helping Hands” that connects PTM volunteers with
shut-ins who need supplies delivered to their doors. PTM
Executive Administrative Assistant Denise Horvath told
us that she and President and CEO, Donna Russell-Kuhr
wanted to find a way to help their neighbors and
coordinated the program with Ira Township local
government officials. They have set up a telephone
hotline and a website where residents can request the
delivery. Examples of urgent needs that can be delivered
include food, prescriptions, and other necessities. The
hotline number is 586-725-2211. The website
is ptmcorporation.com/contact-ptm-helping-hands/. It can
also be found through a link on the Ira Township website.
