Port Huron Schools has launched their search for stand-out Advocators, Innovators, and Educators. This is the sixth year of the recognition program that awards staff throughout the district. The whole community if invited to participate. In a press release, Superintendent Jamie Cain acknowledged the unprecedented conditions under which teachers are currently working. As teaching has moved to online, Cain said that, “it is more crucial than ever to recognize our dedicated staff of wonderful professionals who continue to positively impact their students amidst a global pandemic.” The nomination form can be found at the website, phasd.us, and nominators have until May 20 to select their favorite staff members in the three categories. Winners will be surprised with a gift certificate to the Doubletree and Freighters along with the recognition early in the 2020-21 school year.
