Victory Day in is an evening of education, inspiration, and fun on the gridiron for children/young adults with special needs. Any individual ages 5-26, with cognitive and/or physical impairments, are eligible for this fully funded experience. This is the 5th year that Port Huron High School will be hosting the event at Memorial Stadium. Each child will be partnered up with a Port Huron High football player or cheerleader who will serve as their mentor for the event. They will be given a Victory Day jersey to wear and line up on the 50-yard line with their mentor. The national anthem will then be played by the Marching Band. After, the PA announcer will introduce each child as they run through a tunnel formed by the band into the end zone. This year’s Victory Day will be held on August 16th. However, permission slips for participants are due June 14th. For more information and permission, slips visit PH Victory Day on Facebook.
