With another winter storm blast hitting the mid west, the Michigan Agency for Energy wants to make sure that Michigan residents are fully prepared for the conditions and stay safe before, during and after the storm. A few percautions: Before a storm: keep a 3 day supply of bottled water and canned goods on hand. Gather flashlights, charge phones and have extra batteries. During a storm, never use a generator indoors and always dress warmly. After a storm, if you are experiencing an outage, report it to your utility company. Call 911 to report downed power lines and stay at least 30 feet clear. For more on being prepared for a winter storm visit michigan.gov
