On Friday, April 12th the Lieutenant Governor Garlin Gilchrist visited the county to talk with business professionals and government employees are the state of Michigan’s budget. The meeting was held at The Underground in downtown Port Huron. What was top of the discussion was the proposed 45 cent gas tax and how the increase will help fix roads, the general fund and ultimately k-12 schooling in the state. The was the first time visit for the Lieutenant Governor stated he would be happy to come back during his term in office.
