Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. day is fast approaching on Monday, January 21st, and once again Operation Transformation will be hosting the 13 th annual “One in Christ” Community Service on Sun. January 20 th. The event, a partnership between Operation Transformation and Blue Water Area Churches is free, and all are welcome. The 3:00 p.m. serviceis at Port Huron First United Methodist Church, located on Lapper and this year’s theme is by this they shall know. The purpose of the event is deemed to help people come together for healing, unity and love. OT states that participants will have the opportunity to help demonstrate unity in Christ by showing love to the community. Attendees are asked to bring canned goods to help those in need. Anthony Jones, a faculty member at Howard University in Washington D.C. will be this year’s guest speaker. The service will also feature special music, scripture readings, and dance ministry.
