A St. Clair resident has been named the new president and chief executive officer at Visiting Nurse Association and Blue Water Hospice of Port Huron. Angela DeLaere replaces Karen Harris, who retired following a 30-plus year career as a healthcare provider and healthcare administrator. Prior to coming to VNA-BWH, DeLaere served in various leadership roles at Beaumont Health of Royal Oak and Troy, and most recently as senior business manager with the Beaumont Medical Group’s Primary Care division; academic and teaching sites. Janal Mossett, chair of the Visitor Nurses Association and Blue Water Hospice board of trustees stated, “We are very excited about the depth of healthcare administration experience that Angela brings to our organization, she is a confident leader who believes in our mission and vision and will help us move this organization forward.”
