The annual Community Good Friday Service, put on by
Blue Water Area Churches, has moved from the sanctuary
to the screen. Traditionally, local churches have
collaborated for a large community gathering to observe
Good Friday. Things are different this year, and
community gatherings are prohibited. But the service will
go on with the use of technology. The service will be
broadcast through Facebook Live at 1:00 p.m. on Friday,
April 10. The livestream can be found on the Operation
Transformation Facebook Page. Renee Hernandez, of
Operation Transformation, to which Blue Water Area
Churches belongs, told us that the theme is “Were you There?” and includes the perspectives of disciple, mother,
and thief in telling the Good Friday story. In addition to
the livestream, the service will be broadcast on WPHM
1380 and 90.7 Hope FM.
