The family of Hannah R. Winkler has established a scholarship in her memory. Hannah Winkler passed away in December of 2019 at the young age of 23 from health complications. Hannah, a 2014 Port Huron High School graduate, who attended St. Clair County Community College, is remembered as a having a love of young children and animals and leaves a legacy of “kindness, joy, and selflessness”, according to her family. The scholarship will go to a high school senior who plans to attend SC4. The $1000 award is intended to go toward tuition and fees. Along with having at least a 2.5 GPA, applicants need to answer a few essay questions and provide letters of recommendation.
