Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs has announced The Lexington Arts Council will receive a $7,500 grant. The 2019 grant has been awarded through the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs, Michigan Strategic Fund and the National Endowment for the Arts. As a volunteer organization, The Lexington Arts Council led by President Sam McKim will use the funds to continue their promotion of music and arts in Michigan’s Thumb. As the sole Sanilac County recipient, the Lexington Arts Council is looking forward to the 2019 Music in the Park Friday night summer concert series and the Bach Festival, September 2019.
