Kayla Halleck, an 11th grader at Yale High School, will compete for a national title after winning 1st place at the state HOSA Leadership Conference health student competition in Grand Rapids. She took first in the Home Health Aide category. Four other TEC health students also competed who all placed in the top 10 of their category. More than 3,000 health students from across Michigan competed in 57 events at the state competition. The national competition is in Dallas in late June.
