Recently, Secretary of State Ruth Johnson announced that more than five million residents are now a part of the Michigan Organ Donor Registry. Back in 2011, there was only 27 percent of eligible Michigan residents that had signed up for the registry. Today, 64 percent of Michigan residents are a part of the program that Johnson pushed for nearly seven years ago. Anyone can join the Michigan Organ Donation Registry. For more information, along with sign-up options, you can visit the Michigan Secretary of State website.
