On March 28 in the Performing Arts Center at Port Huron Northern High School, Port Huron Schools and the Port Huron Police Department are hosting an A.L.I.C.E. training which stands for Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, and Evacuate for local school districts and other community agencies. The active killer response training is being provided by certified instructors for free to employees or groups who have had direct outreach and communication with district leadership. More than 100 individuals have registered for the event. Port Huron Schools Superintendent, Jamie Cain said, “When our community is safer and more prepared it benefits the security and safety of our students and families everywhere,”. Additional Training will also be April 14 and 21st on responding to threat scenarios.
